FOB HOPE is a Veteran-run, Veteran-serving 501(c)3 organization based out of Tacoma, Washington, United States. We strive to provide aid to homeless Veterans by keeping them alive, gaining their trust, and working to get them into permanent housing. Veterans live at our Veterans Village or our Tracy Jones Veterans Transitional Housing Program while we work closely with local resources to provide necessary supplies and assistance to guide them toward a course of self-sufficient living.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Case Manager role located in Tacoma, WA. The Case Manager will be responsible for providing individualized support to homeless Veterans and connecting them with local resources to secure permanent housing and necessary supplies. Other day-to-day tasks include building relationships with individuals, maintaining up-to-date case files, tracking progress, and reporting data.
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse group of people
Experience working in a case management or social work role
Experience working with the homeless population
Knowledge of military/veteran culture
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
In-depth knowledge of local housing resources and social service programs is a plus
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is a plus
Certification in case management is also a plus
